Introducing Miss ZZ, the Bibliovore

Spread the love

It has been a bit since I last posted, but I wanted to introduce one of the main reasons that I have been busy. Meet Miss ZZ, our adorable lil’ lass! Life as a geek mama has had its ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world! It is delightful to watch her learn and grow over time. Now that she is a bit older, we have more of a routine going and it is easier for me to get things done.

Until she has opinions of her own,  😉 we will be geeking her life up. Her nursery has a Legend of Zelda theme (pictures to come once it is finished!) with custom fabric and lots of delightful adornments courtesy of Etsy and some DIY. We will be packing her along as we all go to our first Comic Con. She has her own costume for this (made by my MIL) and I look forward to crafting many more over the coming years.

One thing I have happily noticed is that she seems to really like books a lot. When I let her go play in her room, she usually heads over to the books first and pulls them off the shelf.  We read a book as part of her bedtime routine and she starts cheering when we show it to her.

Unfortunately, she is not just a bibliovore (eater of books) in the figurative sense. I call her my puppy sometimes since she loves to chew on everything in sight, including books. We will keep all of her paper books in our room until she is old enough to stop gnawing on them. I bought her some of those soft books to keep on the shelf for now.

I hope she continues to love books and eventually reading as much as I do. Anyone else raising little bibliovores?
