I don’t live in England, but I have a queen. The Queen of the Geeks, Felicia Day.

Okay, okay, if you’ve read her book, You’re Never Weird on the Internet (almost), you know how Felicia Day personally feels about the title of Queen of the Geeks, but hey, she said it’s fine if I still say it 🙂
If I could boil down this marvelous book into just two words, it would look like this:
Be Yourself
Two words. So simple, but the thought trips up so many of us. We think we have to go fit into some box constructed by society to belong, be a good person, or whatever other messages that we have gleaned. In her case, embracing her weirdness and forging her own way ultimately paid off.
I HIGHLY recommend reading this. I am going through it again by listening to the audio version; it’s delightful since she reads it herself.
