I may or may not have a bit of an obsession with both duct tape and washi tape. Every time I come across them at a store, I look carefully at the rack to see if any new patterns have come out. I think about whether I want to add another to my collection yet. I just can’t help it! There are so many awesome kinds available and after all, duct tape fixes everything 🙂 There are all sorts of cute crafts you can make with these kinds of tapes, too.
As a condo dweller, I am a bit short on storage space sometimes. I have the craft room doubling as a guest room, so don’t keep items like tables in there. In my travels around Pinterest, I came across ideas where people had used a slack rack for ribbons or washi tape. I figured this could work for duct tape storage also!
You want the type that has a swing arm so that you can easily add new rolls or take them off as needed. These also make it so that the rolls won’t fall off the rack. You can buy them on Amazon (affiliate link) or get them at the store. I found mine at Ross and know they often appear at similar stores like TJ Maxx, Home Goods and Marshalls. I love going to these stores since they help me get fancier items for my house at a discount price 🙂 .
If you have washi tape or ribbons, they can go on the same rack. That will probably be ideal since a rack of just duct tape might be tight depending on how far apart the manufacturer set the arms.
What do you use for duct tape storage? Washi tape? Ribbons?
I love this idea—I really need to get my gift wrap stuff more organized and I think this is the perfect solution!
Oh yes, that would be good for ribbons and such also.
Oh this is such a good idea! And I LOVE that Star Wars Duct Tape…where did you find it?!
Thanks. The Star Wars duct tape was from JoAnn. Don’t forget the 50 billion coupons they send out so you can get all the duct tapes 🙂
