I think we have all seen a TV or movie character who we wish would be our BFF. Someone to pal around with, to share interests and just to enjoy life’s pleasures together since you identify with them so much. Here are five characters (well, one is a group of four…forgive me) that I wish could be my fictional BFFs.
Kaylee (Firefly)
I think of myself as a tomboy overall. I grew up riding dirt bikes, hanging out with Boy Scouts and other non-girly pursuits. Kaylee would be so much fun to be around. We could even dress up once in a while and go to Shindigs.
Indiana Jones
Life is hardly dull with Indy Jones around. I’d love to jaunt around the world searching for priceless artifacts. Oh, and he’s hot too (sorry Eric, ha). Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones is the first celebrity crush that I remember having. That grin….ahhh…I mean adventure! Artifacts! Excitement!
Samwise Gamgee (LOTR)
Everyone needs a loyal friend who would be willing to go to Mordor and Mount Doom with them. He was faithful until the end. I would do well to emulate his spirit more in my own marriage and friendships.
Jim Halpert (The Office)
He’s a (cute) fun-lovin’ prankster. I loved his devotion to Pam. As I’ve found with Mister Eric, it really is magical being married to your best friend. Sigh. I’m so blessed.
The Pajanimals
We may or may not watch a wee bit of the Sprout channel in our household 🙂 It’s a bit silly, but I love how this crew can make Miss ZZ giggle and grin so much. I now sing their little lullaby song to her sometimes, along with the one about brushing your teeth and washing your face. It helps get the other theme songs out of my head…sigh.
